No academic has done as much to measure and record inequality as Danny Dorling, the Oxford professor of human geography. More than 100 days after the election of a Labour government, what does the radical geographer – said to embody “the conscience of the left in Britain, disappointed, angry but still hopeful” – think of the state we’re in? This talk marks the publication of his latest book, Peak Injustice: Solving Britain’s Inequality Crisis, published by the Policy Press, a selection of his latest writing and new content looking to the future, including challenges for the new government, the impact of Jeremy Corbyn’s legacy, and the implications of Keir Starmer’s blind spots. Dr Zara Nanu, the tech entrepreneur and pay gap expert, will chair the evening. The book will be available on the evening, priced £10 (normally £14.95).
